VISION STATEMENT:

We are a physician based/team developed Family Health Team committed to sustainable primary health care for our community.

MISSION STATEMENT:

This mission statement guides the work of each of the health care providers and staff members of the Marathon Family Health Team regardless of clinical setting in which care is being provided or work for the Team conducted.

1. We will help improve the health of our residents by providing services to the community which reflect perceived community needs and goals.
2. We provide high quality comprehensive primary health care.
3. We provide, within our team context a nurturing community that supports individual growth and development
4. MFHT supports sustainability of the health care team and we will facilitate ongoing recruitment of staff and health care providers who are a good fit with the MFHT.
5. We support balance between home and family life, work and vacation.
6. We will identify barriers to access to care in our communities and work to reduce them.
7. We are committed to local and regional cooperation and integration in health care services.
8. We provide an environment in which professional development is encouraged.
9. We are committed to educating health care and other learners.
10. We will provide health care in a culturally competent manner.

VALUES AND COMMITMENT:

Communication: We recognize that good team work requires good communication. Members of MFHT are committed to good communication between all members of the team both health care providers and staff. We remain aware of our professional obligations with respect to confidentiality and privacy and will uphold those obligations.

We also know that in order to serve the public well we must communicate effectively about our programs and service offerings and what the public can and should expect from us.
