Board of Directors

The Marathon Family Health Team (MFHT) is a not-for-profit corporation that is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven directors. The MFHT Board of Directors is a mixed based board that includes community members/patients of the Family Health Team and affiliated physicians.

What is a Board of Directors?

A Board of Directors is a group of people who help guide and support an organization at a high level. They don’t handle day-to-day operations, but they make important decisions about the organization’s goals, finances, and long-term plans. At MFHT, our Board works closely with leadership to make sure we are meeting the needs of our patients and providing strong, reliable primary care in our communities.

Our Board members come from a variety of professional backgrounds and bring unique insights that reflect the communities we serve. Their guidance helps ensure MFHT continues to grow in ways that are responsive, inclusive, and community-focused.

The Board also plays a key role in accountability—ensuring that MFHT meets its commitments, uses resources responsibly, and operates in line with our mission and values.

Our Board Directors volunteer their time and expertise because they believe in the importance of strong, local primary care. Their dedication helps shape the future of healthcare in our region.
