Locums & Learners

Marathon Family Health Team (MFHT) welcomes Nurse Practitioner locums as well as learners from various healthcare backgrounds, including nursing and dietetic students, on a regular basis. MFHT’s affiliated physician group also welcomes locums to maintain and provide quality healthcare within our community.

Locum & Learner Information

Before your locum or placement, consider preparing yourself by reviewing the information provided in the pages below:

Locums

Do you have a passion for rural remote medicine? Seeking a break from city life and the long commutes? How about a 10 minute commute… on foot!

This beautiful area of the north shore of Lake Superior offers many post-work activities. In the summer, we have mountain biking, tennis, hiking, golf, ultimate frisbee, fishing, volleyball and more. Sea-kayaking is fabulous on the big lake – we are happy to lend you kayaks or canoes. Neys Provincial Park and Pukaskwa National Park are each twenty minutes away. In the winter, we have cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, hiking, indoor swimming, ice fishing, skidooing and more. All recreational activities are free to locums.

More information for locums, including a locum package, can be found here.

For additional support or any locum related questions, please contact Brett Redden, Physician/Healthcare Professional Recruiter at: 807-228-0406 or [email protected].
