Hospital-Run Programs

  • Meals on Wheels – provides nourishing meals at a reasonable cost in order to help people remain in, or return to, their own homes, thus maintaining their independence in the community
  • Seniors Day Program –  available for seniors and adults with disabilities. The Program is designed to accommodate all individuals, as well as those who are isolated in the community, and to provide them with a social outlet. The Program will also provide families with much needed respite.
  • Seniors Service Van – accessible transportation services for seniors age 55 and older and for residents who require accessible transportation in the town of Marathon

  • Marjorie House – provides a short-term sheltered and caring environment for women and their children who are victims of violence in their intimate relationships. 
  • Superior North Victim Services – provides short-term practical assistance to victims of crime, tragedy, disaster, accidents and sexual assault.

  • Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic – legal advice and assistance to residents of the District of Thunder Bay, particularly Indigenous people, who need assistance with poverty law issues particularly with Ontario Works (welfare) problems, Disability pensions (CPP) and programs (ODSP), Tenants’ Rights and Employment Insurance
