Marathon, April 29, 2024 – The Marathon RAAM Clinic, a collaborative effort between the Marathon Family Health Team (MFHT), North of Superior Counselling Programs (NOSP), and People Advocating for Change through Empowerment (PACE), is pleased to announce its relocation to the PACE office located at 52 Peninsula Square, effective May 16, 2024.
The Marathon RAAM Clinic is a welcoming, judgment-free, and low-barrier walk-in clinic for individuals experiencing challenges with substance use and seeking additional support in making changes in their lives. Since its establishment in January 2020, the RAAM clinic has operated from the MFHT site.
The decision to relocate the Marathon RAAM Clinic to the PACE office follows extensive deliberation and collaboration among the involved organizations. PACE’s mission to empower individuals facing mental health and addiction struggles aligns seamlessly with the objectives of the RAAM clinic, making it an ideal host site for this essential service.
The PACE office offers an environment better suited for the provision of RAAM Clinic services, ensuring a comfortable and supportive space for individuals seeking assistance. Additionally, this move will facilitate easier access to PACE’s comprehensive peer support services, while maintaining timely access to addiction medicine and physician services. This integrated approach promotes holistic support for individuals and their families.
“We believe that this relocation will strengthen the impact and reach of the Marathon RAAM Clinic, enabling us to better serve our communities,” said Georgina McKinnon, Executive Director of PACE.
